I won the auction, what happens next?

Most purchases at Tradera are from another person and not a business. This means that it differs somewhat from regular online shopping. This guide explains how it works for the buyer.

Payment

How do I pay?

Most sellers use Tradera Pay which is a collection of integrated payment methods.

Payment methods included in Tradera Pay

  • Swish
  • Debit/credit card
  • PayPal
  • Klarna
  • Google/Apple Pay

Which payment methods have Tradera's buyer protection?

Tradera's buyer protection is mandatory for all buyers except for those with a Swedish account. Read more about our buyer protection here.

Can I pay later?

Since most sellers aren't businesses, it's up to you and the seller to reach an agreement. If you can't pay up front we recommend that you contact the seller before placing a bid to check if it's alright.

Swedish users can pay in installments or via invoice by choosing Klarna. That way the seller is payed instantly and you get to pay at your leisure.

Shipping

How does the seller get my address?

The seller will receive your shipping address if you win an auction or buy an item. If you live outside of Europe you will need to contact the seller before paying to get the correct shipping cost.

If you have purchased several items from the same seller its always worth asking if they can combine the shipping since this will save you some money and is better for the environment.

How can I change my shipping address?

You can change your shipping address in My Tradera before the seller books the shipping.

Right of withdrawal

When does the right of withdrawal apply?

The right of withdrawal only applies when purchasing something from a business. Most deals on Tradera are between private parties which means that the right of withdrawal does not apply. If something is wrong with the item we always recommend that you contact the seller.

If you've purchased something from a business user on Tradera, the right does apply. Check the seller's profile to see if they are a business and the terms that apply.
