Shopping for second-hand luxury goods can be difficult and unsafe. With our authentication service, it’s safer than ever. With us, luxury products from selected clothing, footwear and accessories brands undergo a rigorous digital authenticity check after publication. This ensures that all reviewed and approved luxury products meet our strict authenticity requirements.
What does Authenticated mean?
Products that have undergone and passed our digital authenticity check are marked with a stamp of authenticity. To give you further peace of mind, all authenticated products are covered by our Buyer Protection with Authenticity Guarantee. This means you get a full refund in the unlikely event that the product turns out to be fake or is not delivered, as well as a replacement if the condition of the product does not match the description. The service is free of charge for the seller, while the buyer pays a fee of €5 plus 5% of the purchase price (maximum €750) for Buyer Protection with Authenticity Guarantee.
How is the check carried out?
Once a listing is posted on Tradera, it is digitally reviewed by our experts to verify its authenticity. Every detail is carefully scrutinized to ensure the authenticity of the product, from receipts, materials and logos, to serial numbers, engraving and stitching. Once a product is approved, the ad is marked with a watermark confirming its authenticity, while products that do not meet our requirements are removed from the platform.
For you as a seller
As a seller, you post ads as usual. When you create an ad, it is clear what you need to include for the item to be authenticated. Once the ad is published, Tradera’s brand experts conduct a digital review to verify authenticity. Once the product is confirmed as genuine, the ad is marked with an authenticity stamp. If we cannot verify the authenticity, our experts will ask you to complete your ad. While we wait for completion, the ad will be hidden from other users and if authenticity cannot be verified, the ad will be removed from the platform. The service costs nothing extra for you as a seller, while verified products give buyers increased security and improve your chances of getting your product sold!
