Frequently asked questions about shipping

How do I as a seller know how much shipping will cost?

You can find prices both in our shipping calculator and on the create ad page in My Tradera. If you are sending bulky goods, we recommend that you check the freight forwarder's website to see if there are additional costs.

It is also ok to charge extra for packaging if needed as long as the cost is reasonable.

The seller wants to charge more for shipping than what is stated in the ad, is that ok?

As a rule, the shipping price indicated in the advert should apply, but if you agree that the seller should, for example, use a different carrier from the one indicated in the advert, or if the buyer has specific requests regarding shipping, it is a matter of agreeing on a solution that suits both parties.

The goods were lost or broken in transit, whose responsibility is it to claim the shipment?

This may vary depending on the freight forwarder you use as the handling may differ. Our recommendation is to check the freight forwarder's website to be on the safe side.

The buyer wants the item delivered to a different address than the one they have on Tradera, what do I do now?

In order for you as a seller to retain your seller protection, you need to send the item to the address provided by the buyer on Tradera. Our recommendation is that the buyer updates their address in My Tradera before you book the shipping.
