Pokémon cards in particular have become a hot commodity on the secondary market, with demand outstripping supply. This has made the circular market even more important for collectors and enthusiasts, as it allows everyone to find the rare or special cards they are looking for. On Tradera, Pokémon has now made its way to the top of the list of popular categories, and we’re seeing huge growth both locally and internationally.
In the first three weeks of 2025, sales of Pokémon cards were 67% higher than the corresponding period in 2024.
Tradera invests in the community – meet us at Nordic Card Show 2025
As Pokémon becomes a global trend, Tradera wants to strengthen and highlight the strong community that exists among collectors, players and enthusiasts. The best way to do this is to meet in person, and that’s why we actively participate in the most popular fairs and events in the Nordic region. First up is the prestigious Nordic Card Show in Copenhagen on February 13-15, where Tradera will be on hand to meet collectors, network and contribute to the community.
What does Tradera do on site?
Tradera creates an engaging and interactive experience for all visitors at trade shows and events. We organize contests and activities exclusively for our registered members, where you can win gift cards, merchandise and products from our sellers. In addition, we sponsor events in various ways to give back to the collecting community.
At the Nordic Card Show in Copenhagen on February 13-15, Tradera is sponsoring a tradezone – a meeting place where collectors can exchange Pokémon cards and play the Pokémon TCG (Trading Card Game) with other enthusiasts.
We also organize sales contests for both individuals and businesses. The next contest starts on February 17 in the collectible category, where winners are rewarded based on their sales performance on Tradera. This is a fun and engaging way to recognize the most active sellers in Pokémon cards and collectibles.
At our stand, we create unique meetings by inviting artists, creators and sellers who make the event even more inspiring. At the Nordic Card Show, for example, we will be visited by Flemming Andersen, a well-known Disney cartoonist. In addition, we’re partnering with two companies who are contributing their ranges, strengthening the link between collector culture and creativity in the Pokémon world.
